MY QUESTION FOR TODAY: Why do people hate on Battle For The Sun So Much? What did we want? For Brian to stay an alcoholic drug addict; slowly killing himself but keeping us fans happy? That’s a bit selfish now isn’t it? And can we really call ourselves fans then?
Because it’s mostly shitty. I’d never want them to continue self destruction. But my point is: if you can’t do it properly anymore don’t do it at all. They could take a long break and do smth valuable. Instead they issued an album stricktly on time and started making money on it. It was 95% commercial. That’s the problem with BFTS. I’ll always believe in Placebo and will buy every album they release, but after BFTS I don’t expect them to be always honest, as they were before.
